Great Ocean Road & Phillip Island Private Tour (Three Day)

Multi Day Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Your Great Ocean Road tour & Phillip Island tour departs Melbourne in the morning at 10am, when you will be picked up from your Hotel/Accommodation in a comfy air conditioned vehicle. Your personal driver and guide will greet you personally and whisk you off towards the start of the Great Ocean Road.

We start the touring with a visit to the world famous surfing mecca Bells Beach. Here you can watch the local talent as they search for the waves at one of the most famous international surf breaks. Then onto Split Point lighthouse, where you lookout out over the shipwreck coast. You will then be driven onto private property, where a wild Kangaroo expert will be waiting to take you on an off-road Kangaroo Spotting tour, offering possibly one of the closest opportunities you will ever get to a mob of wild kangaroos. This is a tour highlight!

A lunch-stop will be made in the pretty coastal township of Lorne (allowing for some free time to to wonder amongst the locals) before exploring a nearby waterfall (chosen dependant upon the season you are visiting). Wildlife spotting is on the cards next, as your guide will help you search for wild Parrot's & Koala's in their natural habitat.

You will then venture further along the coast, stopping at some fabulous look-out-points - such as Mainers Lookout, are next (so have your camera ready!), before we finally arrive into the township of Apollo Bay (nicknamed 'Paradise-by-the-sea'), where you will be dropped off on the doorstep of your chosen accommodation (own cost), just in time for dinner.

Your guide will give you a brief tour of the town, so you can be acquainted with its amenities. Our guide will then retire for the night to prepare for your adventure the next day, leaving you to enjoy one of the towns local restaurants under your own steam.

Day 2

Your second day of touring starts with an early pick up, to progress our tour further into the Great Otway National Park with a visit to Maits Rest Rainforest Walk and Melba Gully in addition to some more wild kangaroo spotting. You will then enjoy an easy-to-navigate one way walk through a beautiful Wetlands area (via boardwalk) with your guide waiting at the other end to pick you up.

Next, it is onto Port Campbell National Park with its rich array of nautical landmarks. Gibson Steps is the first, which will give you just a taster of what's in store for the next few hours. The 12 Apostles is next, where you may choose to upgrade your tour experience with a helicopter joy flight over the rock formations ($165 per person).

Afterwards, we will visit some of the remaining rock formations at Port Campbell National Park including Loch Ard Gorge, The Arch, London Bridge, The Grotto and The Bay of Islands, as well as some pristine beaches along the way.

You will then journey back to your Melbourne hotel/Accommodation via some scenic farming communities and local roads which are lesser know and get you away from the hustle and bustle of motorway traffic. You will be dropped off at your chosen Melbourne CBD hotel.

Guest Multi-Day Tour Reviews

TRIP ADVISOR AWARD

" Smoothly run tour. Our guide made us feel at ease. It’s a curved road but he was a safe capable driver. It was a simple process to book. Paid a small deposit to book the date out, and then we paid half way through the tour. No pressure for upfront payment, which we had from other tour operators. You soon learn what is more important to them the cash or the customer. Staying overnight in Apollo Bay and waking up for sunrise of the local beach was magical."
